Yes. Many hearing assessments can be completed at home using portable audiology equipment. Tim will consider whether your home environment is appropriate for the tests required and advise if any additional assessment is needed.
Can a family member or carer attend?
Absolutely. A partner, family member or carer is welcome to be present if you would find that helpful. Appointments can also be coordinated with care staff where appropriate.
Can hearing aids be fitted at home?
Yes. Tim can provide hearing aid fitting, programming, adjustments and ongoing reviews during suitable home appointments.
Do I have to buy hearing aids after an assessment?
No. An assessment is an opportunity to understand your hearing and receive independent advice. There is no obligation to purchase hearing aids.
What if I already have hearing aids?
Tim can review existing hearing aids, check their condition and performance, and discuss whether further adjustment, maintenance or other support may help.
How much does a home hearing assessment cost?
A comprehensive home hearing assessment costs £115. This fee is credited towards a South Coast Hearing hearing aid package purchased within 60 days of the assessment.
