Appointments can be arranged by the resident, a family member, care home staff or a representative.
Where helpful, we can coordinate with the care team to make sure the resident is available and comfortable for the appointment. A family member, carer or staff member can be present during the visit if this would help with communication, history-taking or decision-making.
This is particularly helpful when a resident finds it difficult to explain their hearing concerns clearly or when family members are involved in care decisions.

Can you see more than one resident during a visit?
Yes, where appropriate. If a care home or retirement community has several residents who need hearing support, we can discuss how best to arrange this.
What if the resident is not sure whether they need hearing aids?
That is fine. The appointment is first about understanding the resident’s hearing and communication needs. If hearing aids may help, we will explain the options clearly and without pressure.

Yes. Where hearing aids are fitted or ongoing care is needed, we can arrange follow-up support and review appointments.
